Artist Comment:

Breaking Free is a conceptual self portrait about my struggle to find freedom of artistic expression and It is about my journey.

There are many elements to this piece that tell my story and illustrate the struggles of finding artistic freedom and redemption. My adventure is not over.

I have not arrived, but the journey has begun! The background location is a highway somewhere in New Mexico. The Road is created with an image of cracked ice on Lake Michigan. Each element represents something about my learning experiences.

This piece is oil pigment printed onto canvas and board mounted in a standout fashion and is ready to hang on the wall as is or frame.

Really Awesome but I’m wondering who or what is oppressing your artistic expression that you must journey to escape from.
