New Art Just Listed: “Martial Arts: Sensei vs. Sensei, Aikido VI” by Warren Keating. Martial Arts painting. $1800.

December 7, 2009

36″ X 36″ oil on canvas, “Martial Art: Sensei Vs. Sensei, Aikido #4” by Warren Keating, is a large, dynamic, above-view, figurative painting executed in my award-winning “Pixel Impressionism” style that was featured on CNN.

It depicts an overhead view of two Senseis practicing. It kind of makes a yin-yang, if you use your imagination. For the Martial Arts practitioner or fan this painting makes a very personal, tasteful gift. The style of this series reflects a type of mark making that I have invented, a kind of “pixelated impressionism” where the expressive swashes of paint depict the pixels from and movement of the original digital video reference image.

My work is considered part of the Paintography movement. When you purchase this painting, you will receive an original work of art on archival, heavy duty 1 1/2-inch-deep stretched canvas with the edges painted white, no need for framing, saving you hundreds. If you do not absolutely fall in love with your Keating, please return it
