New Impressionistic European Cityscape by Marcus Krackowizer. “Seven Dials”. 47×94 oil on canvas. $3300.

November 17, 2009

I was waiting for a friend of mine I met in Thailand and sitting on the Seven Dials watching the world go by. Because of the seven ‘almost’ pedestrian streets crossing at this point, there was a lot of passing traffic and activity. It’s like being in a small village in the centre of London. If you’ve not been, it’s worth the diversion.

I decided to try a mixture of styles in one painting, so you get a little Expression, Central Market and Liverpool Street all in one. In my mind the central character is the guy waving at the cab, what do you think?
