The Twitter Accounts Behind the DiscoveredArtists.com Brand

September 29, 2009

For those of you on Twitter who pay keen attention, you may have noticed something oddly similar, almost parallel about tweets coming out of three particular member accounts. If you’re an artist or photographer, or someone who loves to follow art-related Tweeters, then you are most likely to have caught-on to the connection between these three accounts.

Yes, it’s true. Online art gallery DiscoveredArtists.com is managing three individual accounts on Twitter. As marketers, we recognized the importance of creating and managing multiple accounts to promote our brand, and the artists we represent. Having separate accounts working in tandem has allowed us to responsibly expand our follower base, while at the same time giving art lovers a choice as to which “voice” they most connect with and would like to follow.

Three different, and very real, people here at DiscoveredArtists.com manage these three accounts. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, here’s an overview of these three accounts and what you can expect to see coming out of each:

DABadge

@DiscoverArtists – Our primary, corporate Twitter feed managed by DiscoveredArtists.com owner, Brian Walker. This account tweets about new art just listed on DiscoveredArtists.com; featured artists, artwork and Interior Designers; and new DiscoveredArtists.com Blog posts that we want you to know about – art and artist-related, of course.

July2008 @Art_I_Love – Managed by DiscoveredArtists.com CFO, and owner of Direct Marketing agency Measured Marketing LLC, Renee Castelluzzo. Renee has fast become an avid art collector and tweets about art she has personally purchased, as well as pieces of artwork and photography on DiscoveredArtists.com that she really loves. She also Re-Tweets many of the messages coming out of @DiscoverArtists.

j0442355_bigger @DiscovrdArtists – Tweets provided by our own, R.E. Fleck. Racheal is our Business Development and Sales Director at DiscoveredArtists.com. Her primary function is to attract new artists to the site and encourage buyers to shop for their next piece of art or photography from our artists on DiscoveredArtists.com. If you want a balanced mix of Tweets from all three of our accounts on Twitter, @DiscovrdArtists is your best bet.

No matter which of our Twitter accounts you decide to follow (perhaps even all three), our primary mission is always the same from each:

  1. To encourage art buyers to buy directly from artists and photographers, as opposed to buying from department stores.
  2. To bring you the absolute best and highest-quality art from our talented pool of professional, international artists/photographers.
  3. To promote and market our artists and photographers and their work, all day, everyday.
  4. To build the DiscoveredArtists.com brand so that when people think about buying a new piece of art for their home or office, they think about DiscoveredArtists.com and its artists first. Buy art online!

Looking forward to your tweets!

– The DiscoveredArtists.com Team
