Architectural Pencil Drawings by Chicago Artist Jack Nixon

September 28, 2009

Whenever artist Jack Nixon participates in an organized art show, whether in his home town of Chicago or elsewhere, it is always his booth at the show that is crammed with people marveling over his incredible pencil drawings.

Inspired by the likes of the Italians, Giam Battista Pirenasi and Andrea Palladio, and the French Ecole Des Beaux Arts illustrators, Jack Nixon’s goal is to give the world high-quality drawings and prints of the beautiful architecture, architectural ornament, and monuments produced in late 19th and early 20th century America that will rival the 18th and 19th century graphics of the Europeans – and Jack is certainly equipped with the talent to pull-off his ambitious goal.

Jack Nixon offers many of his works as fine art giclees and limited edition prints, ranging in price from $95 – $300. However, if you’d like to own an original, prices start at $5,000 and go all the way up to $200,000 for his larger works.

    My name is Samantha,
Jack was actually married to my aunt Tracy, and for my 13th birthday he gave me one of his pieces from the zodiac collection, I have the pisces. I went to the website you posted in your reply and they are sold out of the virgo and I would really like to get it for my husband. Is there anyway or anywhere I could get a virgo at? it would be absolutely awesome to have.
